Tip 41: Explain why you are worth listening to
As we discussed previously, the topic of your presentation should be:
Something that they want - (See: "Tip 12: Give your audience what they want")
Something that is important for them - (See: "Tip 13: Have something important to say")
Something that is interesting to them - (See: "Tip 14: Have something interesting to say")
Something that is relevant to them - (See: "Tip 15: Have something relevant to say")
A powerful way to increase your audience's attention and motivation to listen to your presentation is to explicitly spell out exactly how the thing that you are about to tell them is useful, important, interesting and relevant for them.
