Tip 114: Personalise the slides for each audience
If you are giving the same presentation for several different events or audiences, it is tempting to simply use the same slide set for every event. It is tempting to just pick up the file from your hard disk and take it with you to the event. However, personalizing the presentation for the unique time, place and audience can be a very effective technique as it shows respect for the uniqueness of the audience. Each audience feels it's unique, even if your message is the same across several presentations.
A simple way to personalise your slides is to add the event and venue details to the title slide at the beginning of the presentation. This takes only seconds and can be done just before you leave for the presentation. It is within the technical abilities of most speakers
