Tip 27: Organise your content
After you have decided what you want to tell your audience and done an adequate amount of focused and relevant research, now is the time to think about organising your data into some sort of structure. You will need to decide what you want to put into your presentation, and what you want to leave out.
Identify what information, data and evidence is central to the point you want to make, and put it in one group. This is the material that will be at the core of your presentation.
Identify material that is of a supporting nature, and put in into a second group. You may need to call on this material later on, and it may be useful when you make a handout.
Identify material that is peripheral to your case. This material may be interesting to have up your sleeve but you can put this material to one side for the time being.
