Tip 134: Keep charts simple
Presenters often put too much data in their slides, without thinking about exactly what they want to say by showing that data. There is usually no need to show all your data in the form of a chart during your presentation. You need to be selective and decide which data to show.
First decide what point you want to make and what message you want to give to your audience. Based on that, select out the data that will support you, and decide on the best way to display it. You can always give your audience your full data set in a handout.
