Tip 194: Scan the news
On the day of the presentation you should make a final scan in the industry news sources to see if there is anything new relevant to your field of presentation. When you are presenting, you need to be the most up-to-date person in the room.
If you are at a different city, find an internet access point and use it to find out if there have been any new developments since you prepared your presentation. You must be aware of any breaking developments or announcements in your field, and you should be prepared to make last-minute changes to your presentation to incorporate these changes. You will gain immeasurable credibility in the eyes of your audience if you can do this comfortably.
