Tip 28: Assemble your evidence
By now you will have identified the claims or conclusions that you wish to convey to your audience. You now need to identify evidence that explains or establishes the validity of your claims.
The most commonly used forms of evidence are:
Facts, figures, statistical evidence, graphs, charts, tables
Stories, descriptions
Definitions
Historical accounts
Case examples
References to authority – quotations or informed opinions
Demonstrations
Your knowledge of the audience will be crucial in deciding which form of evidence will be most credible in the eyes of your audience.
