Tip 51: Let your audience arrive at your conclusion
When you are trying to convince your audience, build up your argument sequentially until the conclusion you are trying to convey is obvious for your audience. You should allow them to arrive at your conclusion. Let them work it out. You may want to suggest the answer indirectly, but do let them believe that they are always one step ahead of you.
Your audience must reach your conclusion before you spell it out, so they will say "I knew that."
Making your audience "own" your conclusion is a subtle but potent and ever-so-slightly devious way of getting your audience to accept your point.
