Tip 54: Summarise your presentation at the end
"Tell them what you're going to say, say it, then remind them what you said" – now that you have said what you wanted to say, it is worthwhile telling your audience what you think you have said and how your initial objectives have been met.
A concise summary helps your audience comprehend your main points and relate different areas together. It helps you to tie-up any loose ends. Some members of your audience may not have been paying attention during your presentation, or have failed to keep up with the flow of your presentation. It is therefore worthwhile using the summary as a reinforcement of what you wanted them to take from your presentation.
