Tip 97: Speak loudly, clearly and slowly
It is surprising how many otherwise talented speakers, under the pressure of nerves and anxiety, stand up in front of an audience and consumed by their own insecurities and fears of inadequacy, are able to only quietly mumble through their presentation in such an ineffectual manner that it is highly unlikely that your audience will be able to hear their presentation, let alone accept their message!
The same nerves may also cause an inexperienced speaker to speak so fast that the audience cannot really absorb what is being said.
Do not let your nerves ruin your presentation. Speak loudly, clearly and slowly so that your audience can feel that you are confident and sure about what you are trying to tell them.
Rushing through your presentation to finish it quickly can make you difficult to understand. Articulate each word carefully and deliberately, especially if at times you feel you are going too fast.
