Tip 138: Take the font with you
You may have a corporate font or a favourite font that you want to use in your presentation. Be aware that the set of fonts that are installed on the computer where you made your presentation may not be same set of fonts on the computer where your presentation will ultimately be shown.
If the destination computer does not have the same font installed, you may face a range of issues depending on how exactly the font information was stored in your presentation and the software settings on the two computers.
For example, the computer may try to find the most closely matched font and substitute that for your font, although this process may distort the layout of your slides. Alternatively the destination computer may designate your presentation file as being "read only" and you will be unable to make any last-minute changes to your presentation at the venue.
To avoid such problems, use only those fonts that are installed as standard with your computer, unless you are prepared and able to take the font package with you and install it on the computer where you will be showing your presentation. suggestions.
