Tip 123: Use photos instead of text
Slides are best employed as a visual and graphic illustrative aid, not as a document that your audience is expected to read. One of the best uses of slides in a presentation is to convey graphical messages and information.
Pictures, graphs and other images are especially helpful as humans are visual creatures.
The old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words is especially true in the context of a talk. Photographs in particular can be incredibly powerful in silently conveying a (subconscious) message through the projector screen while you are talking, and if used properly can greatly magnify the impact of your presentation.
How many photos should you use? How often should you use a photo?
I will answer this question with another question: "Why use words when you can say the same thing with a picture?" The simple answer therefore is that you should use photos as often as you can.
