Tip 168: Use sensible formatting
Your handout should be easy to read. Have a margin of at least 2 cm on every side and use serif fonts such as Times New Roman) which are more distinctive to read in print than sans serif fonts such as Arial are.
Leave plenty of white space for people to annotate their own notes. It is usually preferable to print the handout on only one side of the paper, leaving the reverse side for annotation and notes.
