Tip 56: Have a call to action
Your presentation is an advertisement – whether you are advertising your ideas for others to buy, or whether you are advertising your product or your research. No advertisement is worth anything if there is no call to action. If you don’t inspire or challenge your audience to do something, then why speak to them?
When you have finished your presentation, your audience must be inspired, challenged and motivated to do something amazing with the new information they have learned from you.
It helps to offer your audience a practical action plan - something that they can start or accomplish in the next 72 hours. This cements their commitment to your message, and illustrates its practicality.
