Tip 212: Don't be self-centred
You should stop concentrating on yourself, but instead focus your attention away from your own anxieties and focus on your message and your audience.
Most stage fright is rooted in self-preoccupation – "How am I doing?", "Am I making any sense?", "Am I making a fool of myself?"
Stop focusing on yourself. Focus, instead, on your audience and on how your speech is going to help them. "How are you doing?", "Do you get this?", "Can you hear me?"
Be careful though – don't take out your stress on them. Don't ask them too often if they are OK as a way of shifting attention away from you.
